They are more like retractable bollards that can be easily raised and lowered according to the requirements. 
  • Removable Driveway Bollards: these bollards are removed easily when not in use. They are not fixed in the ground. That is why they are easier to use as compared to the telescopic bollards. They are placed in the driveway where there are pipes or wiring under the ground and you cannot dig deep in the ground to place the bollard. In this situation, removable bollards serve the best purpose as they do not need deep digging of the ground to be placed.
  • Automatic Driveway Bollards: these bollards are the highest technology bollards. They can be used with a key or a remote control. Automatic bollards use hydraulic system to raise or lower the bollards when needed. When you want to restrict the vehicle entry, you can press the button on the remote to raise the bollards and restrict the vehicle. Similarly, when you want to allow the entry of any vehicle you press the button and lower the bollards in the ground.

They are installed by digging down the ground to make them firm and strongly hold the ground. In this way the bollards will last longer and will provide more resistance to collision.
