- In 2017, the Aadhaar word was declared ‘The Word of the Year’ by the Oxford Dictionary.
- If you make your child’s Aadhaar at work age from 5 years and then his age is 5 years, then it is important to update the child’s base. UIDAI says, “When your child reaches the age of 5, it is necessary to update his / her Aadhaar with biometric Aadhaar. Not doing so will invalidate the child’s Aadhaar.”
- The Aadhaar card number is the real identity and not the card. Hence it is verified online without a printed copy of Aadhaar card.
- UIDAI says that people with eye disease, retinal damage or partial / complete blindness can also enroll for Aadhaar card.
- The Aadhaar card is not compulsory for every citizen, it is voluntary based, and anyone who wishes to enroll voluntarily can apply for the Aadhaar number.
- The Aadhaar number is valid for lifetime and does not need to be changed or renewed as long as the person is alive.
