You can also imagine a village where there are no front doors in the houses, shops are always left open and the locals never feel insecure. In Maharashtra, India Sat Shani Shignapur the story of where the villagers assured security due to their unwavering faith in Lord Shani, the guardian of the village. According to a legend, about 300 years ago, after a war of rain and floods, a heavy black slab of rock struck the banks of the Pansanala river, which once flowed through the village. When the locals touched the boulder 1.5 meters from the stick, it started bleeding from it. That night Shani Dev came in the dream of the village head and told that this slab was his own idol. Shani Dev ordered that the slab should be placed in the village, where he would reside. Shani then blessed everyone and promised to save the village from danger.

Iron stone protects

The position of the iron slab and door has no relation. Shani Shingnapur, a village with a population of 5000 odd people, holds the iron stone slabs responsible for protecting the place from all dangers. The iron slab is an expression of Lord Shani. People believe that anyone who tries to steal in the village will be cursed with a seven-and-a-half-year inauspicious period. There is also a belief that if someone tries to put doors on their house, it is bad for the people of the house. Even banks and shops do not have doors here.

Women do not worship Shila

There is also a unique custom about the temple that women are not allowed to worship the idol, a custom that has been followed since it was built. Men have to bathe before entering the temple premises. Here people feel safe with the sight of God and at the same time fearful , faith in Lord Shani is strong and untold. Shani Shignapur is a place where houses have no doors, no trees but no shade, no gods but no temples, fear but no enemies. In fact, there is a unique feeling at this place that relieves people from many troubles.
