- Pakistani Model Bare Head Photoshoot At Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara Triggers Dispute
A Pakistani model named Sauleha raised controversy with her “barehead” photoshoot at the famous Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur that has hurt the emotions of the Sikh community.
Later she deleted the images on her Instagram page and apologized.
This Monday, a garments brand named Mannat Clothing uploaded pictures on their Instagram page of Pakistani Model Sauleha. The shoot was done at Kartarpur Sahib.
Shiromani Akali Dal representative Manjinder Singh Sirsa and other individuals shared the photographs pointing that the model was bare-headed.
Sirsa requested rigorous action against the individuals who misbehaved in sacred places of the minorities in Pakistan. He expressed that the model posing without covering her head inside the Gurudwara is similar to ‘beadbi’ or heresy.
In the Sikh religion, Covering one’s head in a gurdwara is necessary.
In her conciliatory sentiment, the model Sauleha said, “I didn’t plan to offend anybody and the photographs ought to be a memory of her visit to Kartarpur Sahib”.
Furthermore, She wrote in her Instagram post – Recently, I uploaded a photograph on Instagram that was not part of a shoot or anything. I just went to Kartarpur to learn about the history and explore the Sikh community. It wasn’t done to hurt anyone’s feelings or anything besides. Although, if I have hurt anyone’s sentiments or they ponder, I don’t respect their culture. I am Sorry.
Pakistan’s Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the fashioner and model ought to apologize to the Sikh community.
Punjab Government Supports Filling 10k Education Department Posts.
On Monday, Punjab’s Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi approved to fill the 10,880 vacant posts of various cadres in the Education Department. In a meeting of several departments, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi depicted education as the main sector, which would be well-organized. Additionally, he also said that 2,000 physical education instructors in grade schools must be appointed.
Moreover, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi approved to fill 3,400 posts in the Health Department to further strengthen the healthcare system.
- India’s Parliament Passes Bill To Repeal Three Farm Laws
The Lok Sabha has passed the bill to cancel the three disagreeable farm laws that set off boundless protests by farmers who have been perched in the suburbs of Delhi for over a year.
The bill was tabled by agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar seeks to cancel the three farm laws:
- Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020;
- Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020
- Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020.
The Rajya Sabha will now take up the bill.
PM Modi declared that the three farm laws would be repealed on November 19 and urged farmers to end the protest and return to their homes and fields.
Saying about the section of the repeal bill, Rakesh Tikait (leader of Bharatiya Kisan Union) said that it is a eulogy to all 750 farmers who lost their lives during the protest.
