What is Feng Shui?

Clothes should be placed out of sight in cabinets. The bedroom lights should be soft and should not come from the ceiling but rather from wall sconces and lamps on the furniture.

Green plants are not recommended in the rooms since they represent the yang and are therefore stimulating. The Zen bathroom must be a clear, dry, and cool room preferably placed in the East or Southeast. Natural lighting is recommended and if it is limited, keep the room well lit. Plants can help absorb excess moisture that causes the ch’i to stagnate. Lamellar blinds are recommended to allow natural light to filter in while preserving privacy.

It is advisable to place a green plant between the stove, which represents fire, and the sink, which represents water in order to harmonize fire and water. As the disorder is synonymous with stagnation, it is necessary to organize storage spaces. Open the windows every day to recreate the ch’i.

The fridge, sink, and oven should not be aligned, in any case, they should not touch each other.

The best directions for the dining room are:

• East, invigorating atmosphere particularly pleasant to have breakfast because sunny, it is the ideal orientation,
• South-East, direction which favors exchanges,
• West, direction which corresponds to the pleasures of life, pleasant for meals taken in the setting sun,
• North-West, preferable for formal meals.

Order is necessary for eating in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. It is clever to light oneself with a few candles introducing the fire ch’i which brings warmth and conviviality to meals.
