Children’s literature that normalizes the variety of human experiences has my full support. Hence, I was instantly hooked when I read the blurb for this book. Two biracial sixth-graders who reside in a homeless shelter are the main characters of this tale. The two form a bond over their shared interest in classical music. At the point when another policy threatens to force them out of the top, the kids band together to stand up to the public authority. It’s a compelling tale with a motivating message.
