When they grow , just before adulthood , ie in the pupa stage , these insects take out a thread or fiber from their mouth and wrap them around them for protection . The length of this thread can be from 1000 meters to 1300 meters. By this process the worm is closed in a bunch of threads. This bunch made from thread by insects is called cocoon.

Naturally, a soft and shiny fiber like silk is made by humans using chemicals. Synthetic clothes made from such fibers may be cheap and look like silk, but such fabrics are very harmful for the body and can cause many problems.
