Demand for data scientists has never been higher. If you’re thinking about pursuing a career in data science, now is the perfect time to begin.

But how should one go about learning data science?

I’m well aware that this is a difficult question. I chose to pursue a career in data science a few years ago, but when I looked into what I needed to know, all I saw were extensive lists of data science courses to take and books to read.

According to studies, most people learn better by doing rather than watching videos or memorizing texts.

So, how can you learn data science the most effectively? I’ve divided it into five simple steps.

1. Find a reason to learn

The discipline of data science is vast, and there is a vast amount of information available. As a result, deciding what to concentrate on can be challenging. A reason to learn is the key to managing all of this knowledge. Determine your motivation and use it to lead you through your data journey.
