Rich smile project – A novel advancement
The digital smile Design project is a novel advancement in the dental sector in which engineering principles, aesthetic creativity, and a dentist’s skills result in a successful outcome and satisfaction for the dentist and his clients.
In contrast to current techniques, it produces a virtual setup of a smile before the actual dental procedures. “A smile is a curve that can set everything straight,” as the saying goes. A dental smile design creates the most up-to-date practical and digital tools to aid dental procedures. This project allows for greater precision in achieving the dentist’s goals. It begins with the mandatory collection of foundational data, which includes information about patients’ faces, smiles, gingival contours, and dental sequences.
Complex intraoral scans, high-resolution videos, and photos accomplish this. The next step is to design the virtual smile project using the previously collected baseline data. With the special software, the designer creates a virtual two-dimensional design of the patient’s smile in this step. Then it is sent to laboratories to be processed into a three-dimensional model and later delivered to the dentist.
The dentist employs this model on his patients, achieving a smile before the procedures get performed. The main advantages of this project are that it positively manages the client’s expectations and aligns them with the dentist’s visions. This virtual project contributes to a thinner line between dental treatment imagination and reality. The anticipated outcomes get visualized, allowing the client to improvise and communicate more effectively.
